Thread lifting

Thread lifting for youthful contours

Thread lifting is a new, non-surgical treatment that achieves a natural and immediate lifting effect by inserting specially developed threads under the skin. Depending on the type of thread selected, a wide range of aesthetic effects can be achieved. All threads used are naturally broken down in the body. During subtraction, more collagen is formed and strengthened in the subcutaneous tissue. This creates a natural support structure. The results last for 1 - 3 years, depending on the treatment concept.

In summary: Thread lifting is a minimally invasive treatment for optical skin rejuvenation and contour optimization.

Advantages of a thread lift treatment

  • Firmer skin
  • Reduction of wrinkles

Treatment at a glance

After intensive joint planning and result orientation between doctor and patient, the doctor marks the areas to be treated and anaesthetizes the entry points locally. This makes the treatment virtually painless. The stitches are inserted into the subcutaneous fatty tissue. This new gentle method leaves neither wounds nor scars. Immediately after the procedure, local swelling and temporary pain may occur. These side effects subside after 1-3 days. A supportive tape bandage at the treatment sites, which can be removed after 2 days, supports the healing process.

The number of threads required for thread lifting is individual and depends on the region to be tightened and the condition of the skin. It is advisable to discuss this with the doctor in order to achieve a satisfactory result.

Is the treatment painful?

Although a local anesthetic is applied before the treatment, the thread lift is not completely painless, but it is rather painless.

Small successes are already visible after 24 hours, but the full result can best be assessed after about 14 days, when the stitches have grown firmly into the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

What are the side effects of thread lifting?

A feeling of tension in the treated area as well as swelling, bruising, retractions at the puncture sites and possibly wrinkles along the stitches are normal and will subside within a few days.
