Chin augmentation

Structure of the chin

A harmonious and expressive chin is particularly important for many people. It gives the face a natural balance and completes the overall look. As not everyone is blessed with an ideal chin structure, this can certainly lead to impaired self-confidence. With the help of hyaluronic acid, however, chin correction is possible, gently improving facial proportions and making them more harmonious.

The treatment

Like any other treatment at montis medical, the chin augmentation procedure begins with a detailed consultation between the patient and a qualified medical professional. During this consultation, the patient's individual wishes as well as their facial anatomy and possible risks are discussed.
At the beginning of the treatment, the area to be treated is first thoroughly cleaned and, if necessary, a local anaesthetic is applied to minimize any discomfort during the procedure. The hyaluronic acid is then injected precisely into the desired areas of the chin using a fine needle.
The hyaluronic acid acts as a filler to increase the volume of the chin and shape a pronounced chin contour. It attracts and binds water, which plumps up the treated area. The result is a natural and gentle rejuvenation that emphasizes the chin.
The treatment takes around 15-30 minutes and the results remain visible for up to 12 months. Immediately after the treatment, slight swelling, redness or bruising may occur, but in most cases this subsides quickly. It is advisable to avoid physical exertion and make-up in the treated area for the first few days after the treatment.
