Microneedling

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is an innovative dermatological treatment that has established itself as a freshness boost for the skin and an effective method of skin rejuvenation. This non-invasive technique uses fine needles to create tiny, controlled injuries on the surface of the skin. What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that is very effective in the treatment of aesthetic skin problems. The aim is to stimulate the regeneration and blood circulation of the skin. Collagen and hyaluronic acid are regenerated, the pores are refined and the skin is tightened. This makes the skin appear smoother and fuller. In addition, no artificial substances are injected during microneedling. The skin regenerates itself.

The treatment

The severity of the skin problem is analyzed and designed in the treatment plan. For a prevention patient, microneedling is a powerful tool to maintain healthy and youthful skin.

An electric dermapen is passed over the problem areas of the skin. Tiny holes are created in the skin layers of the person being treated. The care products used penetrate the skin well and are highly effective. In the case of existing scars (e.g. acne), the collagen fills these up again. Repeated use improves the appearance of the skin.

FAQ

How many treatments are required?

As a rule, three to six treatments are required, which are carried out at intervals of four to six weeks. To maintain the rejuvenating effect, it is advisable to repeat microneedling three to four times a year.

Is an immediate effect recognizable?

Yes, an immediate effect can be seen after the first microneedling treatment. The skin may be slightly red immediately after the treatment, but this redness subsides quickly. What remains is firm, rosy and radiant skin. The desired effect is achieved after around 4-6 weeks.

Can there be complications?

Microneedling can cause bruising, small wounds and skin irritation. There is also a risk of scarring from the needle pricks. The treated area may be red and inflamed for a few days after the procedure. However, most side effects subside within five days of the treatment.
